My Thermomix Story

I decided I would sell Thermomixes at the same time I decided to buy mine. When I’m excited about something, I am 110% in. Plus, I knew I wanted to learn everything this machine could do, and having to TEACH, would be the quickest way for me to LEARN.

Although things moved quickly once I decided that a Thermomix NEEDED to be in my kitchen, it was a loooooong time coming. Five years to be exact. I still remember when I was deciding between a Vitamix and a Thermomix, and it was such an easy decision. A Thermomix was not welcome in my kitchen. I believed it to be a kitchen imposter! An appliance that would take all the joy out of cooking, and would make me obsolete. I like stirring, and I would continue to stir.

So there.

But then my second child came along, I was making everything from scratch, and I just.needed.help.

Back in 2016 I didn’t even look into what a Thermomix actually was. I just judged it and moved on. But by 2020 I was in a very different place in my life. I was open to an appliance that would feel like another adult was in the kitchen with me.

I invited a consultant to my house to do a demo, and the rest is history. I bought my machine straight away and started showing the Thermomix to my friends before mine even arrived.

So, What IS a Thermomix?

Great question. What in the world is this strange device that people fall so passionately and obnoxiously in love with?

I describe it as the sous chef you’d most love to have in your kitchen. A second pair of hands that can do EVERYTHING you can do, just better. It will do mundane jobs like stirring, and will turn itself off when its time is up. This sous chef can think for itself, but will follow your instructions to the T. No more, no less.

Seriously, how good would that be?

You have to see the Thermomix to understand it.

It’s like an iPad. Do you remember when Apple invented the iPad and we couldn’t get our heads around why we would need a flat laptop? Until we used one. THEN we understood.
